Dit bestand bevat de N355 zoals opgenomen in de Omgevingsvisie van de provincie Groningen. Door de stedelijke ontwikkelingen in de westflank van de stad Groningen en in Zuidhorn neemt de verkeersdruk op de N355⁠ toe. De verbetering van de N355 zorgt voor een veilige en vlotte doorstroming voor het hoogwaardig openbaar vervoer, waar ook het autoverkeer van profiteert. Ook de verkeersveiligheid neemt daardoor toe.
